The Fly-In Lodrino is co-organized by the following institutions: Gruppo Volo Motore Leventina The Gruppo Volo Motore Leventina (GVML) is an independent flying group with the aim of promotiring the general aviation in Canton Ticino and, in particular, around the aerodrome of Ambri. The GVML has been founded in 1995 when the former military aerodrome of Ambri has been opened the civil aviation. Today the GVML has around 70 members, mainly from the Canton Ticino. For many years the GVML has played an active role in organizing the "Ambri Airshow" and, later, "Ambri Fly In". In 2006 the airshow has moved to Lodrino and since 2008 the fly in is being held in Lodrino, too.
Fluggruppe RUAG The Fluggruppe RUAG was founded in September 2006 during the "Lodrino Airshow". It is an independent flying group of the employees of RUAG Group, Swiss Air Force and armasuisse. As of today it reunites around 40 members from all around Switzerland. The Fluggruppe RUAG organizes regularly events in and around aviation. Such activities can range from seminars and visits (through our network of members and partners) on a given topic to open air events such as the so called "Samstag Morgen Kaffee", where members meet with their aircraft on a given airport for coffee and small talk.
RUAG Aviation Lodrino RUAG Aviation Lodrino is located in Southen Switzerland and is part of the RUAG Technology Group, which offers military technology as well as civilian products and services. The RUAG Group has six divisions: Space, Aviation and Technology in the Aerospace market segment and Electronics, Ammotec and Land Systems in the Defence market segment. The headquarter is situated in Bern with production centres in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Hungary and the United States. Currently, RUAG employs 7'000 employees and has a market capitalization of 1 billion US$ holding company. The Aviation Division has its Head Offices in Emmen with 12 other sites in Switzerland (one being in Lodrino) and two in Germany. Approximately 2,700 employees achieve an annual turnover of 440 million US$. Its principal activities are product development, manufacturing, assembly and the servicing of structural components plus maintenance and upgrades on aircraft, helicopters, UAV, missiles and air-defence systems.
